Angel Smile Initiative

About us.

Angel Smile Initiative (ASI) was born out of the passion to bridge the gap existing between the underprivileged and vulnerable groups, especially women, PWDs, youth, and children in our society by improving their various aspects of life in the following areas.

01.

Climate Action

We champion community-led environmental initiatives including:

● Tree planting campaigns
● Agroecology and sustainable farming practices
● Climate education in schools and communities
● Organic composting and recycling

02.

Empowerment & Social Entrepreneurship (KipajiKazi Initiative)

Our empowerment pillar—KipajiKazi, meaning “Talent to Work”—is a flagship program designed to nurture talent, promote self-reliance, and create dignified livelihoods. Through KipajiKazi, ASI empowers youth, women, and persons with disabilities by turning ideas into enterprises.

Key programs include:
● Bodaboda Empowerment Program
● Women Economic Empowerment
● Chicken Rearing Projects in Kisii
● Interlocking Stabilized Soil Blocks (ISSB) Initiative
● Waste-to-Gold Project

03.

Governance

We believe in strengthening grassroots democracy. Our governance focus includes

Civic education for increased public participation
● Leadership accountability and integrity forums
● Capacity building on devolution and youth involvement in decision-making

04.

Healthcare services

With the help of public health professionals who engaged in community health identify how variables related to socioeconomic status  such as income levels, nutrition, crime, and transportation resources impact people

They also determine how the community’s medical and educational resources contribute to residents’ lifestyles and what improvements are called for.

05.

Education

Education is a fundamental pillar of our work. We aim to create safe and dignified learning environments by:

● Renovating and constructing new classrooms, teachers’ quarters, toilets, and administrative offices
● Supporting learners with school supplies and sanitary pads
● Engaging school leadership and boards on sustainability practices
